[00:00:28] Today I have with me Fabian Louis. She is not that far from me, which is really fun. We're gonna talk about, because it really resonates with me and she is totally my type of person. The stuff that she does.
[00:00:42] Qigong, sound healing. She is an author of, nothing Is Wrong With You. That title is Perfection right there. And she's an intuitive healer every she sums up what this wellness [00:01:00] podcast is about and thank you for being on to start with.
[00:01:05] Fabian's Journey to Healing
[00:01:05] Autumn Carter: Fabian, tell us more about you and maybe the journey to what led to your book, and then we'll dive into the topic of burnout.
[00:01:17] I'm so excited to talk about this topic.
[00:01:20] Fabienne Louis: Thank you ton. I'm so happy to be with you and your audience today and sharing my story, and I hope it's going to help more people because it's a, long story. I'm doing what I love in life. Right now. I'm feeling good in my skin, but about 10 years ago, I was very devastated in burnout.
[00:01:39] So burnout. Very broad word we use, but in my head I, was putting a mask on, I was a mom. I was working a nine to five job that I didn't like, and trying to do everything in my life that I thought I was supposed to do. And my body stopped to break down. And I was scared [00:02:00] because every day it was a new symptom.
[00:02:02] And I have to quit my job. I didn't have any energy at one point that I need to nap in the morning, nap in the afternoon, put a mask on at night. When the kids come back from school, they were very little and say, mommy is okay. Mommy is okay. I'm going to figure this out. And inside I was like, I'm not okay.
[00:02:19] And all the professional I was going and visit and the slabs result, nothing could help. And there were no istic, nothing about the pain, about the symptom coming. And I was like, scare. Because for me, at one point I was like this is the end. This is the end of my story
[00:02:40] and one night I remember waking up in a panic attack and I asking myself, is this the end of my story? And I said I was in pain and so much anger and frustration and I was like telling universe what's. It's not fair. I wanted to be the super mummy, the super wife, and [00:03:00] everything and the guidance came in like this but you are creating this and I'm like, no I'm not creating this.
[00:03:08] I don't want that. And it was clear. It comes to me. So there is two path you continue to focus on what it's not working in your life and all your symptom trying to find solutions. You are going on this. If you want to change anything and go back to a life you want, you have to focus on what you want on your dream and just go after your dreams.
[00:03:30] And then I say remember was happiest moment in your life. You know when you feel the joy and you know when you, maybe when it's your baby was born, your member. Which show in your body and everything, you, were able to create this moment and to have this energy, you can create that again.
[00:03:49] And I didn't have a choice. It was my last resort because I spent so much time, energy, morning going to doctor and labs and things, and I was okay, [00:04:00] I don't have a choice and I'm not ready to giving up, so I'm just going to follow this inner guidance my intuitions and every day I.
[00:04:09] More information were coming in and I said, okay, I don't question it, I'm just going to do it. And slowly me coming from a medical field and scientific field, I discover about meditation, power of being crowded outside. I discovered chicken is a 2000 year old self practice to come back to yourself to use energy work to bring back energy into your body, to your organs.
[00:04:35] And in few weeks my symptoms was like gone and the pain was gone and I was more flexible than ever. And I was like, that's not possible. What's going on? How do you explain this?
[00:04:47] Discovering Intuitive Gifts
[00:04:47] Fabienne Louis: So after that I discover another practice and learn more about me, and I discover that I have those intuitive gifts inside born and I always thought it was flaws.
[00:04:59] And it's this [00:05:00] inner knowing. About asking question and seeing in people, seeing their energy pattern, their fear, blocking them from doing what they want in life, the fear of emotion beyond the symptom, physical symptom, or beyond. I'm not making enough money and I could see that and I thought that I.
[00:05:17] Everybody could see that too. But it was so obvious to me. But when I was a child, I'm sharing all this information every time people like, explain, how do you know that? And I was in trouble most of the time. So I said, okay, if there's something wrong with me and I need to make myself so small and invisible, maybe I won't be rejected.
[00:05:36] Or maybe people will like me. So all those decades, I try fitting in to make myself small and invisible. And that's why the burnout was my second chance in this life. It was my soul, like a big singing. It's time. If you have a job here, you have a mission, and we came with a purpose in life.
[00:05:58] We have a mission. We are [00:06:00] all different, but we try so hard to fit in a box where we look like all the same, doing what other people are doing, thinking and supposed to do. We forgot to listen to our body, to our inner wisdom and because we're all unique and when we come back to this truth inside, it's where you can create whatever you want in life and reverse your symptom.
[00:06:24] And 10 years ago, I would have looked like. 20, 30 years older and now I was dark circles, inflammation in my body everywhere and no energy, and I couldn't organize myself. So I'm so glad. I trust my intuition and it was my mission in this life to help more people to fund themself to go back to themself and stop looking outside of yourself or all the answers of their life.
[00:06:49] So that's my story and that's why I wrote the book. It's my story, but inside I teach them how to connect with themself and go back to their intuition so they can have whatever they want in their life. [00:07:00] Yeah.
[00:07:00] Coaching and Helping Others
[00:07:00] Autumn Carter: And then it sounds like you also offer coaching, so it's one-on-one.
[00:07:05] Fabienne Louis: So I used to do, because as a medical and treat, everybody say you need to do one-on-one, one-on-one. And I was like, yeah, but it feels so exhausting to me. And I learned that it's from my intuition, it was too much for me. So I just do few coaching one-on-one work, but most of the work I do it.
[00:07:23] It's sharing my wisdom with a book, with online courses and doing a workshop and retreat and share this wisdom with people
[00:07:31] Autumn Carter: okay. That makes sense. And let's unpack everything you said. There's so much there and I, was thinking about my own childhood and how I. I had these spiritual gifts that I had to lay aside.
[00:07:47] And now as an adult, it's figuring out how to pick them back up again and how to use them again. So I definitely resonate with that. And it goes back to that book, the Body Keeps the Score. Amazing book. [00:08:00] But it really does, when we are so disconnected from ourselves, disassociated, our body is trying to let us know that things aren't right.
[00:08:14] And it is a huge reminder that we are these big spiritual beings inside these little bitty bodies, and it really. I started to grasp that in such a bigger way. Having children, they're so tiny and their personalities are so huge, and depending on the child, they're even bigger than most other children. It feels like sometimes.
[00:08:43] And my question for you, from everything that you talked about, one of the questions is at what point do people typically. Come find you for help.
[00:08:59] Fabienne Louis: Yeah. [00:09:00] People know already that they're meant more in this life. They have big dreams right now it's not happening and they are stuck or they are, they have symptoms coming in like me I have was big dream, but my body was saying like, no.
[00:09:07] So they come to me because they are struggling but they still know that there is more for them in their life. They want to get there, but they don't know how. So for me it's bring them to the point where situation their dream reality. And I teach them this process where the gap between those two points in life can be reduced.
[00:09:29] When we work at the energetic level and we clear what it's in between, it's this resistance in your body. Like you say, your body, it's a storage need. Belief limiting belief. Fear and unprocessed emotion. We stuck together. Of course from childhood, from past experience, from your parents, from generational patterns, whatever it's coming from, it's not so important.
[00:09:55] It's just there and make stuck or not progressing [00:10:00] towards your goal. And we just clear that working with your higher. Self, you know in your heart, I yourself know all the story and they know what you want. And it's always here to help you. And when you say, you know this body, soul, it's our inner GPS, and we forgot about this.
[00:10:16] Our new modern society, we don't teach anymore.
[00:10:19] Understanding Qigong and Tai Chi
[00:10:19] Fabienne Louis: But when you think about chi, chi is a practice. It's like Tai Chi it's coming from China and it's more than 2000 years ago. They could find traces of it's in the cave and everything. And chi, it's really those people at this time, they were so connected to their body, but they knew exactly what breath work visualization or exercise to do because they could feel that something was wrong or emotionally something was wrong.
[00:10:48] They will go in nature, do their movement, do their breath work or whatever to clear the synergy because they knew it was not them. It was the energy of someone else or something [00:11:00] from the past, and they could clear it before it became a physical symptom. In this time 2000 years ago, the doctor where the teacher of Ong or Tai Chi or maybe yoga of practices to connect with your inner GPS is your soul telling you what to do because your soul communicate with you, with your inspiration and your ideas and your dreams, and he's always.
[00:11:24] A little push in your back. Yeah, you can do it. Like a, mother could say you can do it. I'm here, I'm but it's gentle and usually we don't listen to it. We listen to our subconscious and no, it's not safe. Don't do that. Don't take any raise. Just keep doing whatever you do.
[00:11:41] Don't go out of this comfort zone and our body, it's in between. It's the only way that your soul can communicate and say, but you say you want that. So you need to clear this in your body, this fear, belief, emotions, and then you can have it. It's how I see it in people. It's [00:12:00] how I see energetically in their field.
[00:12:02] And this can be clear from your organs, from wherever it's. Stuck. When the energy flow, everything flow the blood flow is going to flow freely in your body. And it's how you can ize some part of your body and, but also change any aspect of your life because it's not only physical.
[00:12:23] Like we think our body has its own intelligence. Whatever you change in your body, like the pain in your neck or shoulders, it's related to your finance or your relationship or something else in your life. So when you release this pain, you will see your relationship are going to change. Your opportunity are going to come in and it's all magnetic.
[00:12:44] After you become someone else and things are going to change of around you.
[00:12:51] Autumn Carter: It makes me think of different stories where we can even talk about couples that they'll pass away around the [00:13:00] same time and they can have nothing clinically wrong with them if they did a postmortem and shows you how much your mind.
[00:13:13] And your spirit really are in charge and how you can heal things, you can break things down. You can just be like, Nope, I'm done. And you're right. In this digital day and age, we forget that. So tell me what it is. I've seen only in movies. I do yoga.
[00:13:36] Eventually, I'm going to go down more of the Asian path with learning these practices. That's definitely on my list, but tell me what it's like. I know Tai Chi, they show it in movies and it's very slow movements, very. More energy central, but that's about all I know.
[00:13:55] Fabienne Louis: So Chong is the base of Kung fu Tai Chi, and it has been [00:14:00] used in meditation.
[00:14:01] It has been used as Tai Chi with more martial art or kung fu, and it's all about. Walking chi mean life force. Energy con means the exercise, the effort you have to cultivate your life force energy. Because if you are alive, you have a lot of life force energy. If you you don't have any flow of life force energy coming through you and in you and it's always moving.
[00:14:27] When it's stagnant, it's what we say, emotion or fear or stuck in the energy so we imagine if you want visuals, we have our energy field around us, like the aura that people can see. This is part of us, and go to up to nine feet around us. We have our physical body that we can touch.
[00:14:47] Most of the time we take care only of our physical body because we see it. But we have an emotional body. Another layer with a mental body, spiritual body, and layers around us. And those bodies, we don't take care of [00:15:00] them. We don't say, oh, you know this emotion today because I saw the news and this affected me.
[00:15:06] Do we take care of this? No, we unprocessed them. We stuck in our, field until, or someone else energy we stuck it in our energy field, in our physical body and it's when you know you can implode and when you.
[00:15:19] Stuck so many things and your body start to not working very well, the practice of chicken, it's really with your breath. It can be massaged, it can be breath work. It can be stunt movement. It can be visualization intentions. We remove the energy in your body. We make sure there's no stagnations and we work with median line,
[00:15:36] that we work to make sure the flow of energy is going through our meridians, through our acupuncture plants and all those energetic center in our body, that everything is free and it's always intentions. Whenever you see someone do a Tai Chi, it's not just a stretch or something like that.
[00:15:54] It's really bringing back the energy back to me and push it down to be transmuted into the earth, [00:16:00] bringing more even energy in and out. You know what you are doing. It's really to clear, and I even teach the medical chicken. So it's really to help you with your physical symptoms, to go to the organs and bring more energy into your organs and make everything flow freely between you.
[00:16:22] Also intuitively you are more connected to energy. You know how to feel the energy with your hands. You can scan your body with your hands. The more you practice and see, oh, there is something here, what's going on? And you can take out the old energy, whatever, it's ready to go.
[00:16:37] And then we can do healing, where we go with our hands over someone's body and we can see where there is imbalances in the body as well and bring back the new energy. And you can feel a shift just practicing for yourself or doing it.
[00:16:56] Autumn Carter: I went a couple weeks ago with another coaching friend who [00:17:00] lives here.
[00:17:01] It was called Illuminate, and it's all over Maryland for sure. And then I think there's some neighboring states that they go to and they meet up at different hotels and all the people who are local to that area come together for different types of wellness. Crystals it's free to, go and experience it.
[00:17:26] The people pay to set up boosts and that type of thing. They have workshops, all kinds of things. And walking through, there were several, they're on massage tables, but they were doing Ricky and different other types of energy healings. The only ones I recognize as Ricky, because I've experienced it, but I was imagining that while you were talking about, I was like, I wonder how many people that I saw that were having energy healing done.
[00:17:50] It was actually what you were talking about instead.
[00:17:53] Fabienne Louis: Yes. And Ong, it's robot reconnected with nature. There's no difference between a tree and earth. It's all [00:18:00] energy. So it's all bringing back and now with science and quantum physics, we know that even the earth energy it's.
[00:18:09] Like electrical chlor going through your body and bringing back balance into your body. So in 20 minutes you can't just be barefoot outside and receiving all this energy into your body, and the pain maybe is gone. And I try it. When I have my symptom, that's why the recovery was so fast, because I was outdoor doing my chicken like at least one hour a day because I had so many problem with my body.
[00:18:37] I was committed to do it, and it's not, if you do like once a month, you know you are not going to see the same. It's a cumulative effect. If you do every day and you have more energy, you are clearer. You are exactly. You know what you can I. Into this life because it's like meditation too.
[00:18:55] The same way you quiet the noise, you and you remember who you are and [00:19:00] you know that all this idea are not yours, and this is you. And you are guided to heal your body. You are guided to take the best decision for your business or your family, and you know exactly who you are and from.
[00:19:16] So that's why I, passed my certification. I said, people need to know it's so fast. And I, there's so many videos online you can see about that I really want to develop even more my intuitions or validate what I used to, have, I passed my medical entry, certifications and it's really to ask question, do distance healing. Someone comes to me with an issue, can be anything physical struggle or money or bad relationship. I go and ask what do we need to release? What is the root cause of this issue? And I'm guided to go into the person energy field or chakra, whatever it is,
[00:19:53] and clear the same way. What on the way for them to realize their dream and go to the next level [00:20:00] in their life. So that's more about medical and nutrition. So now what I do, I'm more like a teacher and I really want to help people to teach them that because what is it? Remembering who you are at the end.
[00:20:11] Remembering when you were very young, like a young kid you used to talk to the trees and be very sensitive and know what you wanted to do in this life. But slowly and slowly we took all this. Conditioning. From parents teacher society news that life, not safe and you need to change to be accepted and almost limiting foot and belief, you have to rediscover that to really be able to have more joy and fulfillment in life.
[00:20:42] Parenting and Personal Growth
[00:20:42] Autumn Carter: And it makes sense how much the natural part of us is undone when we're children, because especially going through the school system, homeschooling can be different. And I am a public school mom, so I [00:21:00] am saying this as that Mom, I. Love having the break for my children for a little bit. I have four, so I need space to, to breathe and heal myself.
[00:21:11] But in the public school system, private school system, just traditional school setting is probably the better word. They have to, children have to change and adapt to meet larger classroom sizes. Teachers who are more burned out and still being able to learn.
[00:21:35] They can't. The children who need to move a lot have to be stuck, sit, sitting still. There are so many children at the schools that they can't be outdoors as long as they need to be. Really, it's a need, not a want. And there's so many other. Different aspects that come with traditional schooling that make it so you aren't [00:22:00] your natural self.
[00:22:03] You have to change and conform to make it easier for learning with a whole bunch of other students. And with the traditional learning models. I know there are a lot of schools, at least in my area, that are. Trying to flip it on its head, but that only works for certain children. And I know even with parenting, I learned this from my third child and became a parenting PO coach because of this.
[00:22:34] But the personalities are so different and we undo the natural tendencies of our children to make it easier for ourselves to parent them. And there's so many different ways it's a good reminder not to feel guilty for anyone listening, but a good reminder that it has been done to us. And we are knowing and unknowingly doing it to others, and this [00:23:00] is our chance to come back to what are we really meant to be?
[00:23:05] Am I really meant to be this colored crayon that I'm trying to be thinking of the crayon box. But we try so much to conform. When that's not what we're supposed to do.
[00:23:17] Probably 'cause my oldest, it's about time for him to read it. But if you, have you read the book? The Giver? I read it in. Maybe fifth grade. I don't remember what grade we read in. Maybe it's in middle school. Anyway, my oldest is advanced in reading because his maturity and his reading level aren't the same.
[00:23:36] But anyway, the premise of this book is that people took away all the colors in the world. So it's only gray scale. And it's bringing the colors back and that's the very, very summarized version of it. And we tend to do that to make it easier to understand. We remove the colors.
[00:23:58] And we try to make everything [00:24:00] uniform so that it easily makes sense to us, and that's not what it's meant to be. That's not what our creativity is meant to be or anything else. So that was what I was really thinking about and it kept coming back to me while I was listening to you.
[00:24:14] Fabienne Louis: Oh, it's beautiful.
[00:24:15] Yeah. Thank you for sharing. You're right. You know I'm an artist too, and I love colors. For me, it's oh, I was in the gray shade when I was in burnouts. For me, it was even my clothes, I was dressing gray and it doesn't fit me. Like you say, we have different personalities, also different color, how we dress, how we speak, how we move.
[00:24:34] And it's very important to not judge someone else or try to change our kids so they can fit more in the system and blending and everything. So it's very important what you say. I'm first to honor your. Design, like you say, you are not everybody can be taking care of their kids full time.
[00:24:55] It's not for everyone. So it's good that you honor that and it's okay. And, but [00:25:00] we think our kids are not safe or the system, it's not perfect for them because they, you see their potentials. So what can we do as a parents to help them to go through this experience, who doesn't look like ideal or perfect for them.
[00:25:15] It just be the model first. Be the example that showing in life very struggle, challenge coming in. But you can always find your balance. You can always succeed and be the best person. And it's hard as a parent to, not. Wanted to help our kids because I remember, for me it was, I need to protect them.
[00:25:37] I was so obsessed that nobody care about who they are and everything, but I wanted to almost bear mom and be there and protect them and defend them and everything. And it wasn't the right things to do because also was overgiving. So training myself to do all these things just because of my fear.
[00:25:57] For them to not have what they [00:26:00] need to thrive and be the person you want them to be. But the more you do and you show that life is okay, and if it's not the perfect school, it's okay. You can take the most out of this experience being yourself. So be the model, the role model as a parent first, and then your child.
[00:26:19] Give them the space. Don't like we enter almost in their energy field and say, oh, I need to be there for you. I need to do that for you. I need, you need to know this and that. We have to trust that they have their sole purpose. They have to learn something from this experience.
[00:26:35] Of course, we can share information, but I see so many parents who just project their fears. Over doing things, not always with their words, but over doing things for their kids just because they fear something bad could happen and they couldn't be appreciated for who they are and, doing things and it's not the way you are going to teach them how to grow [00:27:00] confident and knowing that.
[00:27:02] They can manifest life they want, even at school. And when I taught my kids it's your life. You create your life. So if you think you are going to a school who doesn't meet you where you want to be. It's going to happen. But if you change your mind and say, maybe it's not perfect I can still be myself, I can be appreciated.
[00:27:24] And if you go with the synergy every day, everything will be all right. And it's all about what society and maybe relative teacher friends tell us every day like how life should be and what we should change about it and things like that. But. We can always put different glasses to see everything in color if we want to, and stop seeing everything in gray.
[00:27:48] It's a new perspective. It's always, like I said, for me, the soul, it's a higher perspective. It's a new level of consciousness, so it's always with her bird. [00:28:00] High view on top of your life and seeing yourself small like this, doing all these things and seeing why am I doing this? What is the purpose of all this voice and anxiety?
[00:28:11] My child are doing good and I'm doing good, and why don't we believe that life should be like this? It's always a subconscious man, we're going to say, no, you need to do this and that, but just be aware of not projecting your fears on your child. Trust that they're okay and they have this inner wisdom and they need to just go back inside and find their inner power that everything is okay, and if something says something to you. Don't feel triggered by it. Anybody can say anything they want, but I protect myself.
[00:28:42] Imagine having a, shield around you and just whatever someone say it, just rebound back to them and with love, with no judgment and. It's a practice. Of course. It's hard, but I saw the change in me. I saw the change in [00:29:00] my children. I was in fear mode just to let go my kids out of the house when I was in my burnout, because I was watching news and all the bad things happening, and I could see the same at school that the teacher.
[00:29:13] Wouldn't recognize their personality type and try to make them become someone else. And, I was judging and all this thing happening in my head and I was, but what can I do? I feel so powerless, helpless, and when I changed myself. Really bring this new perspective. It was my fear. It was my belief and change to say, okay, it's just the perceptions and I took it the wrong way.
[00:29:40] I'm going to see it differently. And of course you find the right words maybe to talk to the teacher or to the child and not being this defensive energy, but you are right. Things change. I don't do so much, but your energies change and then the energy of people around you, it's always [00:30:00] very prolific on your kids, on the school communities and everything.
[00:30:04] So we can to this life, to only to work on ourself and not try to change someone else around us
[00:30:10] Autumn Carter: so many things came up for me with that. Yes. The last thing you said was exactly what I was going to make sure and land on is just when we are focusing on ourselves and on our own healing.
[00:30:25] I don't mean this in the narcissistic, everything's about me way, I mean it in the I need to do work on myself. To better show up for my children, for my significant other, for my work, for my community, but when you are doing the work on yourself and start with, I need to do the work on myself, for me.
[00:30:49] It, you show up better everywhere else. And when you give yourself that space, then you can give it to your children. Then you can give it to your significant other. Then you can give it to all these other [00:31:00] places.
[00:31:00] Oh. I just interviewed somebody right before you actually this week, who was talking about how watching too much television messes with your energy fields, with your qi, and you were talking about the same thing during this last little bit of us talking because, and it made me think about when I was in high school, that's when nine 11 happened with the twin towers and.
[00:31:30] We watched it on repeat in the classrooms and then it was on the news and everywhere else I could easily pick up that image. So as soon as that went in my mind, I was seeing it over and over again, seeing the different angles and I remember how it made me feel, and this was growing up in Arizona, the other side of the United States, from where I am now and.
[00:31:56] I had to just tell myself that is there, this is [00:32:00] here. Like really try to, I don't think I did it in the best way. That was what high school me did. But I remember how it made me feel having that relived within my body over and over again.
[00:32:15] And there are different things that we can do on tv. With podcasts, even with conversations that we have with certain people where it just feels like it's negative and it's in that loop, what are we doing to undo those things was really coming up for me while you were talking. And what can we do to get more in touch with our spirit, our spiritual self?
[00:32:43] And I definitely am thinking about, I don't wanna do it in my backyard because I have dogs. But maybe in my front yard, my neighbors can all watch me. But spending time with my bare feet on the earth and exploring [00:33:00] either P Chi or Qigong,
[00:33:05] Fabienne Louis: it's okay. Qigong. Thank.
[00:33:08] Autumn Carter: And how much yoga, as I've been diving into that more I was in an auto accident October, and it's still flaring up.
[00:33:18] Yoga's been helping a ton. So it's, what else can I add into this? If this is the things that are working well for me, let me crank those up more. Lemme see what else I could add in the things that aren't working for me.

[00:33:42] Fabienne Louis: Yeah, so it's really, it's nothing is wrong with you. How to transcend your limitation and live your dream life now.
[00:33:51] If you have any traumatic experience on early things coming to the surface. When you hear someone talking like this really being, [00:34:00] and having this conversation with this higher self this inner voice inside of you and say, okay, I'm still triggered by this event.
[00:34:09] Can you please release all this energy in my body or keep coming back to this why? Like I said, sometime, what is on the way for me to be joyful and feel safe every time and not thinking about this event? Instinct is if you practice, you can feel, sense, the energy moving out of your body and just until the point where you are a member of the event, but you don't have the emotion that you are not safe or things can go bad and everything.
[00:34:41] So it's really a way to clear yourself at the energetic level, not only just with your mind and mindset work, but go deeper so it doesn't come back to the surface anymore for this event.
